Folkrm poles built with the splitboarder in mind. The Kulshan is a folding and adjustable pole equipped with a more packable version of our long grip. The Kulshan allows you to store the pole directly in your backpack for descents or ultra technical ascents.

The Kulshan Poles are named after the great Mt. Baker, home of the core and platform of some of the wildest snowfall the world has ever seen. Designed for splitboarders, the Kulshan features a quick locking mechanism that allows the pole to be deployed like a probe and then adjusted to your desired height.

With a grip that is still long enough to accommodate quick pole length adjustments, once deployed you won't need to think about adjusting your pole again. Simply adjust your hand position on the pole to lengthen or shorten it for on the go pole length adjustment.

Epic poles, annoying click

Just got these poles for technical ski touring/ ski mountaineering, I have the wyeast poles for most of my ski touring and absolutely love them. I have some z poles for running and I love how easy they are to stow when I get into some scrambling sections, so I got these poles to emulate that when I need to boot a couly or pull out the ice tools, but the make a really annoying click every time I move them around that I think is from the locking mechanism for the z fold. I’m still going to use them but I would love if they updated this and took it away. I also would love if they made a carbon version of this pole that was similar in weight to the wyeast pile as these feel a little heavy

Best split poles ever made

I’ve been touring for almost 20 years and have been through plenty of different poles. These take the cake in function and durability! No need to look at any other option, get the Kulshans!

Impressive

You really thought of everything. Very easy to use the grips feel great. And I like the small Velcro closure strips for keeping the tidy whilst storing away.

Best Folding Pole Ever!

As an IFMGA guide for the last 20 years I’ve had the opportunity to try a lot of different pole designs. Folding poles have always suffered from a few weaknesses, till now. Lack of rigidity, weak cable tension, poor grips, and unreliable locking mechanisms are very common. Folkrm has solved these issues and incorporated their awesome grip. I’ve been using these poles mainly for approaching ice climbs where I may want to stow the poles and use them again for the walk off. they have been fantastic. Plenty light. Nice and stiff. Easy and reliable lock and adjustment mechanism that doesn’t allow the sections to become loose and create play in the pole. I’m super psyched on these poles, and plan on using them year round. The rubber caps are a nice addition for using on hard surfaces. Kudos Folkrm! You’ve changed the game once again. 5 Stars!
