Stratton Matteson is a passionate splitboarder with a love of mountains and wild, untrammeled landscapes. His craft is inspired by the endless beauty of the Earth and its unheeded call-for-action in this time of climate emergency. For five years, Stratton committed 100% to riding his bicycle to access the mountains, from the volcanoes of the PNW to various ranges across the west. His intention is to embrace and promote a low-impact way of exploring the mountains and committing to a lifestyle that ensures a healthy snowpack for future generations to enjoy. 

Accomplishments:

• Five years biking to snowboard 100% of his descents across the PNW.
• Biked from the Sierra Nevada to Mt Baker. On this journey he climbed and rode all 24 of the most prominent Cascade Volcanoes.
• Completed countless extended split-packing trips all across the west from the Wind River Range, North Cascades, The Sierra Nevadas and more.
