If i knew i was spending $10 on 1 basket that is going to break as fast as the other ones i would have bought new poles. Baskets both broke in less than a season
Good quality, easy to replace. The issue is that they come off way too easily. I have lost them several times which is disappointing.
I broke a basket on my pole and I was super happy to find I could get replacements at a reasonable price. I love Folkrm they make super high quality gear that is built to last.
I’ve had my poles for about a year and I’ve gone through roughly 5 or so replacement baskets. They look great and work great but don’t quite hold up over time and extended use. Luckily they’re cheap and I’ll continue to keep buying more until the poles snap!
I just used the polls in a deep snow, off piste skiing

My original order was missing a basket, the crew was easy and fantastic to work with in remedying this. Love the orange baskets on my black poles.
The poles are great, and the support has been awesome, however i have been through 4 baskets so far in this season (probably 10 days total with the poles)

They hooked me up with replacement powder baskets and I couldn’t be more pleased, love them!
Super simple installation after my last basket broke (not Folkrm’s fault!). The guys hooked it up and the screw on design makes it really easy to swap these out. No more yanking on my poles trying to get an old basket off!
I lost a basket on my Pahto pole (after originally installing them incorrectly) so I ordered a replacement. The new basket came w/in two days and was the perfect repalcement. Now that I know how to install them, they stay on through the harshest use. I LOVE these Pahto poles!!!

Excellent ski poles for in and out of bounds. When the basket came off after 2 years of use, the company immediately sent me replacement parts for free. Great ski poles and great company!
Perfect and fits like a charm
The seal between the basket and the pole isn't quite tight enough, so on warm days water drips into the grooves and then freezes and causes the basket to slip off. Happened twice now.

Yeah, so second time I lost the baskets. I’ll be duct taping them on this time. So yeah, you want to actually assist them in staying on..
When you get your poles (which are great and I am never going back to adjustable poles), before putting your baskets on, be sure to use a couple of electrical tape wrap turns over the threads to give the baskets more to grab onto. Without that, you will assuredly lose baskets. Also, probably best to order spare baskets anyway, as you don't want to be in the backcountry without them. This may have been a minor design flaw in the poles, but is easily fixed with electrical tape. I wish the company had been more responsive to my outreach regarding replacement baskets, but everybody has to make money, and the poles are great.
Well, here is the jist of it all. I got these super rad sticks and within the first month lost both of the baskets.
A review was written that the poles are great, but there was an issue with the baskets staying on. Folkrm contacted me and we were able to resolve the issue.
They also sent me a how to protect your baskets YouTube video. So now I’m trained on how to do that, properly.
But I really like these poles!
I lost one of my ski pole baskets and emailed folkrm about getting a replacement. I emailed at 9:30pm and had a response from CJ by 9:35 letting me know they would provide a replacement for me. It was in the mail within 2 days and I was back in business. What a great company and they know how important customers are! I have told all my friends about this company and their superb customer service! The ski poles are amazing too!!
Lost a basket on day one. Folkrm got new baskets out to me pronto and filled me in on a detail I missed in the first place. A wrap of electrical tape on the threads lock the baskets in!!
Just remember to secure your baskets. A wrap of electrical tape on pole threads works great
Excellent customer service! I lost a basket because I didn't follow the directions & wrap electrical tape on threads. Folkrm shipped me two baskets free of charge.
Shipping was fast and I put it on extra tight so it will not fall off again. Unfortunately, the poles are so nice someone stole them last weekend when we were in the lodge:( I should have separated the poles into different locations to prevent this. Lesson learned.
Somehow a basket came loose from one of my poles that I had recently purchased. I contacted the company and they were happy to send out a replacement set. These baskets install easily, and I haven’t had a problem since.
Lost a basket but the customer team was speedy and helpful. Also suggest that you add lock tight or something to ensure basket is threaded securely. Still loving my poles for touring.
Follow the directions. I list a basket the first day out with my poles. Just didn’t follow directions. I ordered a replacement and it arrived three days later. Great service. Did I mention, follow the directions?
Baskets are excellent, except for their eagerness to fall off. I was excited to use them so I took them out within a few days of receiving them. Lost a basket on day 1. Just days after losing my basket Folkrm sends me an email “tips for your recent purchase” where they tell you that you should use superglue or electrical tape on the threads. Very helpful tip after I had to order a replacement. Our ski season is short in the northeast. Lost some valuable time waiting for new baskets :( but life goes on! Overall awesome ski poles…and baskets too!
Great customer service for responding and replacing the basket, no charge and providing instructions for attaching securely. I was very excited to purchase poles made in USA. Just disappointed in the design failure allowing the basket to unscrew and drop off during a tour. Other competing poles don’t have this problem and allow the basket to spin while held on. Looking forward to your design improvements.
