Used a few times, very light, love the handles!
I love my new Tahomas! The adjustment of the choking level is so seamless that I don't even notice I'm doing it anymore. One of them had an issue on my first use. I contacted customer service who replied within 30 minutes with a voucher for a new pair. Kudos to Folkrm!!
Heavier than my MSR carbon poles. I don't really dig the straps tensioning or quality. I do not like the way the last piece or bottom doesn't lock and slides up an down when putting them away in pack. Over priced. You got the free shipping right. I wouldn't recommend. yes i will keep them as backup.
Very light. Used for hiking and touring. Love the all grip handles. And was 1 shot to flip up Karakoram heel risers. Recommended !!!!!
The Tahoma poles just feel good! Light weight, sturdy, easy to adjust. One of the most important features I need in a touring pole is the pronounced tab at the top of the grip for quick and easy riser or binding adjustment. If you're into quick hand pits to test the snowpack, flip it upside down and the grip acts like a serrated blade to cut through firmer layers of snow.

My new go to pole for ski mountaineering and splitboarding missions. The bomber carbon construction eliminates any concerns over weight penalty of the extra moving parts. The micro tunable locking mechanisms do not require a tool and can be easily adjusted even with cold fingers. I have put some real force on these poles and they haven't slipped a bit, both climbing and skiing. They collapse down small and attach to the pack with confidence given the ribbed grip for those snug portals on the bootpack. Easy and fast deployment when its time to send. Seeing great potential for summer missions when collapsable poles are must.

These bowls are so light compared to my other touring poles makes skiing with them super easy. The clips are high quality and work well. I highly recommend these as they work great. One of the areas that always concerns me is the grip and straps and these work real well with multiple different sizes of gloves. Their service level is second to none as I had one small manufacturing problem with one of them and it was replaced immediately and easily.
Not many objects feel as comfortable in your hands for 15 hrs on end then the Tahoma poles. The ergonomic grip ensure a sturdy grip and little wasted energy when you’re trying to focus on the objective ahead. They also weight little to nothing and have tool-less adjustable clamps that make for easy adjustments on the go!
As a mountain guide, it is very useful to have a long grip pole I can use for my day to day winter skiing, but for summer alpine guiding, I have a trekking pole I can stow away on my pack for climbing objectives.
Tahoma Poles
If you had to guess which would fall faster, 1 lb of Tahoma Poles vs 1 Pound of feathers, I'd say the feathers will hit the ground first. These things are insanely light! They're so light and I went uphill so fast, my friends didn't even want to tour with me anymore. My wife was so upset with my new found speed, she left me. I now fear people will try to pile more weight on my back to try to slow me down... So if you want to be fast in the mountains, stop now and get these things!
